"Peter, please?"

Peter looked at his ten year old sister, Lucy stood on the other end of his desk and stared back at him, her blue eyes sparkled pleadingly.

"Lucy, I can't. You know that. I'm busy." He explained. She sighed.

"Okay. Another time?" She asked. Peter nodded and tugged a bouncy, golden curl playfully.

"Next time. I promise." He said, Lucy flashed him a smile and bounced off.

Peter sat in silence, he stared at the paper he was supposed to be reading, but he just looked at it not actually reading it. Lucy, Susan, and Edmund had all begged him to come play with them on the swing the monkeys had built for them last week. Peter had said 'no' for the third time and he felt bad about it.

"I do have to sign and read through these papers." He convinced himself, he went back to reading.

Son of Adam, there will always be papers to sign. There will always be some conflict. There has and there will always be through all times. Your siblings will not always be the ages they are now. They'll grow up and won't be your little siblings anymore.

Aslan's voice rumbled in his head. Peter looked put his window and saw his siblings all playing in the sweet spring air.

"Alright. Only for a little while." He murmured. He stood up and left everything as it was.

Servants were quick to jump out of the way of the High King as he rushed down to play with his siblings.

"Peter!" Lucy squealed, she threw all of herself at him in a hug.

"Glad to see you too, Lu." He said. She giggled.

"Edmund was swinging quite high by now and Susan was watching him from a tree she had climbed up, her face had lit up when she saw Peter came out as well.

"You are going dreadfully high." Susan fussed. Edmund smirked down at her.

"Jealous?" He asked. She rolled her eyes.

"Why would I be jealous?" She asked. Edmund ignored her.

The eleven year old flung his boot off his foot and successfully hit the side of Peter's face.

"Ha! Take that!" He exclaimed, Peter rolled his eyes and picked up Edmund's boot gingerly.

"Edmund put your shoe back on." Peter said, Edmund looked at his older brother innocently.

"Why?"

"Because if you don't, I'll push you higher." Edmund chuckled.

"Good luck. I think the girls got me as high as I can go." Edmund stated. Peter had to admit, Edmund was going very high.

"I bet I can push you higher." He said, Edmund shrugged and slowed to a stop as best he could with only one booted foot.

"But it's Lucy's turn." He got off and climbed the tree Susan was one. The middle siblings watched as Peter pushed his not-such-a-baby sister.

"PETER!" Lucy screeched as Peter pushed her very high. Peter laughed and slowed her down.

"Calm down, Lu." Peter gasped out between fits of laughter.

When it was Susan's turn Lucy climbed off the swing and hugged Peter once more.

"Thanks for coming outside." She whispered. Peter just smiled in reply.

Hope you enjoyed reading this at least half of the fun I had writing this ;) And no flames please, but of course constructive criticism is welcomed :)God bless your week.
