A/N:
Monk is one of the few television shows that I DON'T think would be any better if I wrote for it. It's not that I'm a bad writer, it's just that Monk is brilliant as it is.
I have a Monk vid up at youtube - check it out (it's Monk/Natalie) and it's under the username 201easyboy.
But there is something from the last episode that I had to play with:
Statues
"Hellooooo?" She pushed him with a finger so hard that he could have fallen over. With careful precision built up from hours of patient standing, he didn't.
"This is getting ridiculous." She stated.
Captain Stottlemeyer walked past. "Can you get him to stop doing that?" He asked Natalie. "He's been doing it all week."
"Not getting any work done?" Natalie assumed.
"About the same as usual. It's just getting annoying." He replied, going in a circle back to his office while he was flipping through a file.
"Alright, Randy. It's on. I'm going to make you crack. Just you watch."
"No you won't" came a little voice to her side.
She put a hand on her hip, wondering how he did that. "You think so? I happen to have one thing in mind that would make you move pretty fast."
"Not gonna happen" he said, his mouth barely moving again.
"Alright, Mr Tough Guy. I bet you fifty bucks."
"Why don't you make it 100?" his mouth moved barely a centimeter again.
"Fine. You're on." She put her hands on his shoulders and leaned in to kiss him, making Randy Disher wobble and fall backward and in an uncoordinated attempt to steady himself ending up with his feet stretched out like a dead cockroach on the floor.
"You owe me a hundred bucks." she told him, suppressing a laugh.
"Hey, you said fifty" Randy argued, getting back to his feet.
"And you said one hundred."
He feigned innocence. "I didn't hear anything. Did you?"
She swatted his arm. "Kiss you again for another fifty?"
"Oh, you're on." Randy said, trying to keep what little cool he had about him and leaning in to kiss her.
She swatted him a second time. "I don't kiss people for money."
Randy took a fifty out of his wallet and waved it in front of her making a show to put it back away again, "Guess I'll be keeping this for myself then."
"No way! Give it here!" She made a desperate grab at it. "I won!"
"Won what?" Monk had just come up behind them.
Randy shook his head. "You wouldn't believe the things she'd do for money" he told Monk, as he was hit for a third time.
Monk gave him a wry smile. "Oh, I think I'd believe it."
Natalie walked off on the two of them, to go see if Stottlemeyer needed any help going through files.
"Oh," Randy nudged Monk. "You'd better go apologize".
"What for? You're the one that did it."
Randy walked away leaving Monk to wonder what had just happened.
Fin.
Yes. I love my Monk. And this episode was so cute how Natalie kept talking how great Monk looked in his uniform. I might be tempted to do a one-shot following that scene too (though one has already been done in Monks P.O.V), if you bribe me with reviews!
So press that button to help Monk loose another one of his phobias!
