Flashback.
Blood trickled down Max's forehead as she leaned over, clutching Tinga's lifeless body. She heard heavy footsteps; Lydecker's goons. She knew she'd never make it out with Tinga, so she simply ran, hearing the crack of gun shots as she sped away on her motorcycle.
Logan heard the window slide open; he made a mental note to fix it later. Without turning his eyes from the freshly printed news for EYES ONLY, he spoke. "Hello, Max." "Hi." she sounded stuffy. He wheeled over to her. "Have you been crying?" Max turned away from his caring gaze. There was no way she could tell him what really happened.
That she missed her target. And now her sister was dead, and it was all her fault.
End flashback.
Max sat on top of the Space needle, hugging her knees and sobbing. Two years had passed since that incident, and Max having a hard time coping. She felt so fake, she was living a lie.
She was dating Logan, but she hadn't felt anything for so long, the relationship was practically dead. Even Sketchy noticed something was wrong, and now Logan, Cindy, Normal and Sketchy were watching her closely, making sure she didn't try to hurt herself.
She couldn't take it anymore. The twenty year old walked over to the very edge and looked down. Tears fell down on the city. Suddenly, a hand touched her shoulder. Max turned around quickly, ready to beat the crap out of someone. Zack held her arm.
"You weren't thinking of jumping, were you, little sister?" She looked into his eyes. "Do you hate me? For what happened to Tinga?" "It was an accident, Max. Nobody blames you." "Except me." she mumbled.
The two sat down and Zack confessed something to Max. "You're not the real reason I'm up here." "No?" "Ever since that day we were headed to Canada, and you went back to Logan I've been so lonely. I'm sick of always moving around, I want to stay somewhere, be with somebody, but that can't happen. Because of what I am."
"Hey, Maxi, you know that band Tokio Hotel that we saw when we were about thirteen?" "Yeah." max thought back to the day. Lydecker was chasing them. Again. Her, Zack, Ben, and Tinga saw a huge crowd gathered around the venue and a sign which read: TOKIO HOTEL. They lost themselves, and Lydecker in the crowd.
"What about them?" "They have a song called Don't Jump, and I think I'll change the last line."
Max was puzzled. He took her hand and stood up. They walked to the edge together, and max began to understand. He then sang softly: " And if all that can't hold you back, I'll jump with you." Just as he finished, Both of them, still holding hands, fell gracefully from the top of the space needle together.
