Aang was lying down on Appa as Katara was watching him. He had just barely survived Azula's attack.

Katara felt a tear slip down her cheek. She couldn't bear to relive the moment she saw Aang fall down from the air. Her heart was broken as she rushed to catch him. He was hurt and she knew it. All she wanted to do was make sure he was okay.

She held Aang close to her and figured that one day, when he was to fight the Firelord; she knew that he may not come out of it alive. She wanted to heal him more and make all the pain in his body go away. Aang was trembling silently, his hands were shaking. Katara watched as she knew all the more he shook, the more pain he endured.

"I'm sorry Katara." Sokka said as he saw his sister attempt to comfort Aang and his shaking.

"I-I, it's my entire fault Sokka!" Katara responded crying hysterically now.

"No. It isn't. Aang is a good friend. I really care about him now that we have been together for almost a year. But if there's one thing I know for sure, Aang wouldn't want you crying because he's hurt. You know that. And I know."

Katara breathed heavily and tried to stop crying. "I…I don't know what to do. All I want is to help him and make him feel better. But I know that I just can't, and I absolutely hate that."

Aang was shaking uncontrollably now. His arms gently quivering along with his legs. He winced in pain and let out a slight moan.

"Hey. Twinkle Toes sure is shaky. He probably is really injured huh? I can even hear him now, and I'm not even on a piece of earth!" Toph flailed her arms wildly into the air for emphasis.

The Earth King turned his head around vaguely and let out a sigh. "The Earth Kingdom has fallen, the avatar is in no condition to fight and we have to where to go!" He screamed, look at his hands on his crossed legs.

"Quiet! Can you just shush up a bit? Let Aang have some silence will ya?!" Sokka answered back to the Earth King as Katara placed a water covered hand on Aang's arm.

"Ughh." Aang was slowly opening his eyes.

"Aang? AANG!" Katara happily hugged him gently as he attempted to sit up. Then she lightly pushed him down.

"Aang! Buddaaayyy! You're finally awake again! Man, you scared us there. Don't do that EVER again. Go it?" Sokka created a wide smile to brighten up Aang's pain.

"Twinkle Toes, You gotta be more careful. You need to watch your back more often, kay?" Toph tilted her haed off to the side.

"At least the avatar is a little better now, right Bosco?" The Earth King began to pat his pet bear on the head.

"Hey you guys. I'll try to be more careful, but I had to do that. I needed to stop Azula. But…I failed." Aang responded all at once. He winced again with pain written all over his face.

"Shh. Sleep now. Rest. We need to find you a firebending teacher, and quick. The solar eclipse is at hand."

Will I continue the story? Maybe not. But for now… it's an one-shot.
