Adelinda and Draco walked side by side pushing their identical trolleys through the train station. Lucius Malfoy, their father, chattered on behind them while his children ignored him.
"Here we are." He finally said.
The twins looked at each other and smirked. They walked through the wall, just as their tutor had told them to, and they kept their heads high. Lucius didn't follow, but this was fine with them, in fact, they liked it better that way.
They almost made it to the train without any disturbances, when Harry Potter waltzed in front of them.
"Excuse me, but can you help me with my trunk?" The boy asked.
Draco rolled his eyes. "Obviously, you don't know who we are, so we'll dumb it down for you. Malfoys don't help anyone. End of story. Now find a Hufflepuff to do your dirty work."
Adelinda scoffed as they boarded the train, leaving a confused Potter in their wake. She felt bad for him, but she had to wear the Malfoy mask, no one could know how she really felt, honor was too important, isn't that what she had been told her whole life?
The train ride was uneventful. The Malfoys had gained several new friends, I use this term loosely, and when it was over and they all boarded boats, the twins decided to ride with a short, fat boy named Goyle and a slightly shorter, slightly fatter boy named Crabbe.
"Linda, what do you think?" Draco asked about a minute into their ride.
"Oh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention, what were we talking about?"
"We were talking about what the worst and best parts of Hogwarts are going to be."
"Ok, well, the worst part will definitely be Dumbledore, Father says he is the worst thing that ever happened to this school." Adelinda replied, secretly lying, she had no idea what Dumbledore was going to be like, and she didn't want her father to ruin her perception of him. "I'm not sure about the best, but maybe that will be the best part, not knowing what is going to happen next."
Draco nodded, and when Crabbe and Goyle saw that he agreed with her, they hastily added in their own two cents.
"I agree, I can't wait for everything to be new." Goyle said while Crabbe nodded vigorously.
Adelinda laughed, and Draco quickly followed suit, but the goons just looked confused, so they nervously chuckled, which only made the twins laugh harder.
When they finally managed to calm down, they resumed small, unimportant conversation until they got to Hogwarts.
Professor McGonagall gave them a long speech about Hogwarts Houses, and the twins wasted the time by whispering jokes back and forth. When the cat lady left, Draco started up. "Ah, Harry Potter, I didn't mean to be so rude back on the platform, but I wanted to see how you would respond, good news, you passed the test, no tears!"
He obviously had spent the whole train ride thinking of that, he was being just plain mean on the platform and he is never that witty on the spot.
Harry responded with a forced laugh and I smiled.
"So good luck making the cut for Slytherin, my sister and I have guaranteed spots, but you might have to work for yours." Draco said.
"Actuall-" Harry said before being cut of by the cat lady's appearance.
"They're ready for you." She said, and with that, we entered the Great Hall.
