I watched the trees and houses go by as my mummy drove me to some place she
had been telling me about for days.
"You're going to like Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil. You can play with them while I talk to my friend, Didi about Dr. Lipshitz." My mummy said.
Dr. Lipshitz was a man mummy learned how to raise babies from and read his books that also told her how to raise babies. Mummy met Didi at a meeting when Dr. Lipshitz was teaching them.
"We're here!" Mummy called.
Mummy got out of the car and carried me to the door where we were met by a purple, spiky - haired man.
"Laura, this is Tommy's daddy, Stu," Mummy introduced the man.
We went inside and I was immediately put in the playpen.
"Have fun sweetie!" Mummy said then went into the kitchen with a ginger- haired woman with thick green glasses who I assumed was Didi.
I looked at the other babies in the playpen. One was small and bald with only a t-shirt and a nappy on. Another had spiky, messy, ginger hair and thick blue glasses. He had a picture of Saturn on his t-shirt and green shorts. The other two were obviously twins. They both had a tiny bit of brown hair, the girl had a green dress on and a pink ribbon in the little bit of hair she had. The boy was wearing a green t-shirt and blue shorts.
"Hi," the bald baby greeted me "my name's Tommy. And this is Chuckie," he introduced the ginger boy "and this is Phil and Lil."
"Hi, my name's Laura."
Everyone was silent for a little while then Tommy broke the ice.
"Do you wanna play ball with us?" "ok!"
We rolled the ball to each other then Tommy's grandpa took us into the back garden to read a book to us.
It was about animals in the jungle. After a few minutes Tommy's grandpa fell asleep and we pretended to be animals.
"I'm gonna be a lion!" Tommy laughed.
"I'm gonna be a giraffe!" Chuckie claimed
"I'm wanna be a monkey!" Lil screamed, joyfully.
"No I want to be a monkey Lillian!"
"I'm going to be a monkey phillip!"
"Guys! You can both be a monkey!"
"I'm going to be a elephant!" I shouted gleefuly.
So we crawled around the garden making monkey noises, elephant noises, and roaring, Chuckie tried to stretch his neck as much as he could.
"Hi babies!" A blonde girl called from the other side of the garden.
"Aahh!" tommy screamed "run for your lives! It's the scary gollira!"
We all screamed and ran in different directions, I just followed Tommy.
"Why are we running away from her Tommy?" I asked
"Her name is Angelica, she's my cousin -"
"And she's mean!" Chuckie cut in "and scary!" Chuckie shivered.
We imagined we were in a jungle and we met up with Phil and Lil, the monkies, we peeped round bushes in search of the gollira, as Tommy called it.
All of a sudden, "aahh! You can't escape babies!" The gollira screamed.
"Aahh!" We all screamed back and run off.
Later, we creeped up on the gollira and jumped on her.
"We've got her Tommy!" Chuckie shouted.
Angelica spun around with us on her back and eventually, she spun so fast we fell off, laughing.
"Being aminals is fun!" Lil claimed.
"Yeah!" We agreed.
"Laura!" My mummy called me.
I held out my arms for her to pick me up and she carried me to the house.
"Bye guys!" I whispered as we left.
We got in the car and I fell asleep, exhausted. My dreams were filled with a lion, a giraffe, monkies, a elephant and a gllira. It was a good dream.
