Chapter 1: Prologue

The last time I've ever heard that was in 1st grade. When I tripped someone came to help me, oh yeah, it was Bella Swan.
Her face was a pale white, due to her Albino mother, her lips were curved and pink, her hair was locks of brunette, and her eyes, oh her eyes were the loveliest shade of chocolate- getting lost in them were extraordinary. She was petite, so she looked fragile, but under that it's a strong-willed girl helping me.

"Your the Cullen kid right?" A tiny girl in a fairy suit asked me. I just nodded clutching my knee- the cut still stings- she looked at me with pitiful eyes.
"Are you hurt?" I just looked at her then at my knee. She should know the answer by now, her mouth formed into an 'O'.
"I'll be right back, stay here." With that she ran off. I sighed and rocked back and forth on my heels, crouched down.
A few minutes later, she came back hiding something in her hands. She looked flush, and she was breathing hard.
She bit her lip and crouched beside me, "Eh, you seem tensed from your wound so I brought plaster-aid and gum for you to chew on to help ease your pain." She quickly ripped the packet and smoothed it onto where it was bleeding. I just watched her intently, she was turning slightly green.
I decided to talk so it wouldn't seem too awkward, "Uh, you're turning a little green. Are you...alright?" I waited for her response.
She hesitated before answering, "I, I know this sounds weird but then, I-I have a phobia of blood." She hid her face in her small hands.
I lightly chuckled in the cold weather, "You know, you could leave, because the snow is stained with my blood."
She gazed up at me, "No, I want to stay with you, until you can walk back to class." She took my hand in hers and smiled.

"I like you Edward, your new right?" I nodded, she breathed. "Well, I hope I'm your first friend." She started to show her dimples, and my breath stopped. She was like an angel, coming to me when I need it the most.
"Yes, you are my first friend, and I'm glad you are." I ran my hand through my bronze hair, it was falling in my eyes.
She looked up at the sky, "It's weird its snowing on Halloween." I just nodded in agreement.
"Edward, what are you for Halloween?" She asked, suddenly.
I sighed, "I was planning to be a doctor, but I guess you ended up being it." She was about to answer but I cut her off to a quick kiss.
I pulled back and smiled at her blushing face.
"Happy Halloween, Bella Swan."
