This is my first attempt to write a poem; it's about Mara's thoughts in Vision of the Future, when her ship crashed…

I hope you'll like it, but if you don't, just tell my chemistry teacher not to let his pupils writing such things during the class hours! -)

Fly

As a majestic Lemyrk'haan bird

Free

But alone

Nothing to fear

But no one to love.

Silence

Surrounding me

Both soothing

And suffocating

The cold of space

As only companion.

I'd never really realized I felt that way

When traveling aboard the Fire

From a planet to another

I'd never realized how much my ship meant to me

A way to run away

Run away far from people

Run away far from problems

Run away far from everything.

But maybe I was wrong

Maybe loneliness is not a solution.

I begin to cry,

And for once,

I let the tears rolling down on my face

Who cares, anyway?

He cares

That's what his presence tells me

That's what I can see in his eyes

And he's there, by my side,

Just holding my hand,

Helping me to go through this,

Understanding my silence

As I watch the Jade's Fire burning.

As I watch my past live dying.

I shouldn't cry

I am strong

I've always been

I am Mara Jade

Former Emperor's Hand, Jedi Knight.

But not for him.

For him

I'm just Mara,

For him

I don't have to always be brave

And that's what I need,

Someone who would let me cry,

Someone I could show my weaknesses

Without worrying about being judged.

Now I know

I don't have to run away anymore.

I've lost my ship,

But I've found a lover.
