It just finished raining in Ponyville, and a beautiful double rainbow was beginning to form over the small town. All the animals were hidden away in their cozy little homes. The air was clean and fresh. Fluttershy stepped out of her cottage and sniffed.
"Aaah. Don't you love a fresh, clean, summer rain, Angel?" sighed Fluttershy, happily as she looked down at her bunny. Angel took a deep breath, puffing his chest out and finally releasing the air. He nodded, making Fluttershy giggle. She walked along her path out to her garden. She noticed three pink butterflies fluttering about around some petunias.
Fluttershy grabbed her watering can and sprinkled water over the lovely garden. It was filled with roses, tulips, petunias of course, and many other colorful flowers.
"There you go, you pretty flowers, you have clean water," smiled Fluttershy down at her garden. She continued to walk along the path to check her mail. Luckily, the mailpony was just arriving.
"Good evening ma'am," greeted the pony, digging in his mail bag.
"Good evening. Any mail for me?" asked Fluttershy in her sweet voice.
"If I can find it hehheh," giggled the mailpony, still fumbling in the bag. Fluttershy stood there smiling away. "Ah! Here it is! Just a letter from your brother."
"Thank you," said the yellow pegasus as she waved goodbye to the mailpony. She headed back to her cottage, and as she went, crickets chirped and frogs croaked. It was truly peaceful. She always thought she lived in the most peaceful area in Equestria. Even though it sat next to the Everfree Forest.
So to some, it could be considered the most unrelaxing spot in Equestria, for you never know what could come out of those woods. But Fluttershy was not afraid, she'd live here for the rest of her life because she loved the nature. Especially evenings like this where it just finished raining and nature was coming alive. Nonetheless, whatever could come out of those woods, she could tame and befriend.
"Come on Angel Bunny, time to come inside," called Fluttershy to her pet. Angel came running and hopped on inside the cottage. Fluttershy looked behind her at the glowing town in the distance. It was a calming scene. The crickets chirping and a cool breeze blowing her pink mane in the wind. T'was an evening close to perfection. The only thing that would make it better was if Fluttershy was with all five of her best friends.
Though, they were all probably busy relaxing outside anyway, wishing the same.
"I wonder if they're wondering the same thing I am," thought Fluttershy.
And they were, Twilight was standing out on her castle balcony with Spike wishing to spend time with her friends on this heavenly evening, but she had books to read.
Rainbow and Pinkie were inside SugarCube Corner having a smoothie together hoping that the rest of their friends would walk through the door.
Applejack was just finishing the last of her chores before heading inside to call it a night. Though, she did wish she had extra time to spend with her friends.
And Rarity, of course was finishing an ensemble that she had been trying to perfect for days. She wished her friends were there to see all her hard work. So indeed all the ponies were wishing they were spending this evening with one another, as Fluttershy had assumed.
"I guess some experiences are better left to spend by oneself," thought Fluttershy, as she smiled and went inside.
