Assassins Creed: WWII
This is my first ever fanfiction ever. Constructive criticism will be appreciated and hope you guys enjoy this little story I prepared for all the readers out there. World War 2 is a time period not discussed much in AC games or extended media. I base this story off AC wiki article on World War 2 and intend to fill in the gaps left by article. I do not own Assassins creed franchise , its property of Ubisoft. I am just a fan who believes in this franchise. This story is by a fan for fans of this amazing franchise.
New York,1941
Walking down the road on a cold rainy day, Dane runs through the crowded street to find cover. He soon finds a news stand to get away from rain and save his new fancy jacket from getting wet. He notices a mirror in the stand next to the shopkeeper, so he asks shopkeeper to let him see it so he can adjust his long black hair coming all the way to his shoulders , tangled yet shiny. He scratches his beard which he clearly did not attend to in a long time. He returns the mirror to shopkeeper and looks start going through his bur sty pockets full of wallets of people from the crowded street early on. He goes through the wallets and find total of $20. He thinks to himself "Haha tonight i eat like kings" but then his feeling of joy turns to that of concern. He remembers his sick friend Lanny back home who might be hungry. While thinking this his eye turns to today's newspaper where he notice today's top headline "PEARL HARBOR ATTACKED" he buys the copy of newspaper and start rushing home.
Later same night "Im home" he shouts as he closes the door to his apartment carrying 2 heavy paper bags which seems they are about to rip. The place seems poorly lit and even colder than outside. He looks at the ceiling with dripping water and says "I need to fix that soon. how was your day Lanny?" but no reply come so he opens the bag and pulls out a small bag of dog food and place it in a bowl in front of bed on floor. Suddenly a little white dog leep out from underneath bed and start eating the food very fastly "hows my little buddy" he says while petting him. He finishes his food and jump up on bed next to Dane's pillow. Dane laid down and started thinking "What if he had a proper job maybe even open up his own little bakery one day". Then he gets up as he felt cold he took off his jacket and picks up the newspaper which he bought earlier today. He uses the papers to light up a little fire by bed side away from dripping water to warm himself while muttering "who would give me a job….I'm nobody just a man trying to get by everyday" then when he is about to put last paper in fire he notices an add on newspaper it reads "From an ordinary to a true patriot AMERICAN ARMY sign up today" suddenly it hit him and he gets up and said "Lanny I know ARMY thats where my future lies I mean have you seen those men in uniform down broadway they get all the ladies...booze….comforts" he picks up little Lanny with optimism and says "If I become a officer i will have all the luxuries in the world". He place Lanny down again and fall on his bed and says "tomorrow i will wake up with a goal and I will go and join army but for now a little rest" as he says this he fall asleep in cold rainy night and little Lanny sleep beside him.
