This is just a short poem about the general intolerance that was featured during the trial. I wrote it for a 9th grade english project. Let me know what you think

Injustice in the cruelest form of hate,
and still the ongoing debate.
Win or lose
try or die.
Either way it's going to be Tom Robinson's children who cry.

Poor Mayella Ewells
her soul so cruel and bleak
that she can't even see the blood shed at her feet.
Ingorance blessed her with excuses
so that she didn't have to care or ask:
what Atticus Finsh was trying to prove...
it's just too bad he had to lose.

It's sad that history had to see
another misery that's been proved to be...
So many people just waiting to see
Tom Robinson being punished for running from the scene.

Death be not cruel...
for Tom Robinson might see you soon.
Farewel justice! We'll miss you so!
But sometimes that just the way it goes.
Ashes to ashes
dust to dust
And while the while Maycomb continues to rust.
