And I'm back, I know I've been absent from the fanfiction scene for a while now and my story Seasons Of Life (another HG/DM fic) is at a standstill.
However, I have returned and I'm making an effort to satisfy my readers which have been so supportive of me from the beginning.
Hope you enjoy it!

WHERE IS YOUR HEART – Kelly Clarkson
On Sunday mornings, she always woke up early to make him breakfast. It was a kind of habit that had developed over the years as she had tried so hard to make him happy.
After the first initial shock he had come to accept the Sunday morning breakfast in bed, and what she had to credit him for was staying to eat it all before apparating off to work.
The hours he spent at the office seemed to out number those he spent with her these days. He was always there for her however, should she ever need anything, she need only speak it and he would get it for her.
Sometimes she wondered what it was about him that she loved. Was it the sleek, eloquent manner he had around everyone? Or perhaps the power he still held over those around him, even after the war?
They always woke up together and maybe she loved him for choosing her; picking her out of the thousands of other witches that would have loved to be in her position.
But when he smiled at her and gave her a quick peck on the cheek before leaving to work seemed become hollow over the years. Did he mean it at all any more?
When she spoke to him about it, he reassured her that their love was true.
"You know I care and I love you." He had told her earnestly, his grey eyes meeting hers strongly.
"I know you care." She would say gently.
But it was so hard to believe in something that you couldn't really feel. She just wanted him to show some of the passion he so firmly declared to have for her.
When they were alone, she felt he should be able to open up to her. But he never did.
She didn't expect him to worship the ground she walked on or spend every waking moment with her, but she wanted to feel like he needed her. She couldn't remember if there was ever a time when she felt like the centre of his universe. Maybe she never was.
"That's ridiculous Hermione, you know that you matter more to me than anyone else." He told her with a small frown "why do you doubt me all the time?"
It was the time to confront him, she thought, the time to tell him what she felt. Only her courage failed, disappeared since she met him, "I'm sorry."
His face softened every so slightly, "come here." He opened his arms and held her close so she could hear the steady beat of his heart in her ear. She almost felt completely sheltered from the world.
"You need to stop doubting me." He said softly.
"I try." She uttered in a breath, unsure for a moment whether he even heard. But he did.
He pulled away and lifted her chin so their eyes met, a dying fire against granite, "My heart is with you."
His voice, his eyes, they all held such a strong conviction she found herself believing him. He smiled and she felt her lips curving upwards as well.
"It always will be." He added, leaning in to kiss her forehead gently.

And that's it, how do you like it? There are two ways to interpret this and I'd very much like you to tell me what you think in a review. Draco is either fooling Hermione again into loving him wholeheartedly, or he really does care but has difficulties showing it which is what causes Hermione's doubt.
Let me know what you think! And thank you for reading!
