A Lolwut Christmas
Little Tommy had been hounding his parents for a basketball hoop. He had been waiting for years to have a chance to sink a basketball through the net and hear the pleasing, "Swish!" Little Tommy had put his desired basketball hoop on his Christmas list for several years, and slowly began to lose faith in his chances of getting one. The night of Christmas Eve, Little Tommy laid in bed, shivering in the intense excitement that overwhelmed his thinking process. He couldn't imagine what presents he might receive this Christmas. He turned his head to his alarm clock, which read; "10:13". "I've been laying in bed for two hours and thirty-three minutes." He thought to himself. His mathematic skills racing in his brain, causing it to throb. Though he didn't care, his enthusiasm was too strong to negatively effect him. Three hours past and his eyes began to sink to cover his entire eye. He tried to snap awake and out last the night, but his "little-boy" metabolism caused him to pass out eventually. His slow breaths causing his back to slowly rise, and slowly sink in peacefully. Meanwhile, his parents, as silent as they could, wrapped presents, writing; "FROM SANTA" on a portion of them. After rushing through and completing all the presents thoroughly, they fell asleep rather easier.
Tommy's eyes fluttered open. It was seven o' clock in the morning and he was so excited. He sneaked carefully into the living room to view all the presents that lay under the Guatemalan Fir they had purchased over the years. "Good morning Tommy." His mom said, entering the room from her bedroom. His dad walked to the side of his mother, nodding to him. That was the signal to start ripping the wrapping paper off of the presents and into pieces. He eyed a video game for his game cube that he had been waiting for, but it wasn't the present he had been cringing in joy to discover. Seeing many presents labeled with his name, he spotted a quite large present leaning against the wall. He knew exactly what it was. The sticker in the top left corner read; "From Santa, To Tommy." He viciously massacred the wrapping paper to discover that his waiting paid off. The box revealed a picture of too kids playing basketball, along with some attention-grabbing features that were listed along the side. He looked up to the sky (for some reason) and said; "I love you Santa…"
After a while, Tommy had opened up all his presents, put them away, and acted thankful for them. Though Tommy immediately nagged his dad to set up the hoop, and after a while of irritation, his father did so. That took a mere forty-five minutes, and at that point, Tommy was a jumping fireball. "Well, take a shot." his dad beckoned. Tommy grabbed his basketball and from the middle of the 'court", attempted a jump shot. The ball rose and then fell close to sinking through the net and swishing. Tommy vaulted into the air but then his frown caused him to fall back harder than planned to the ground. Landing on his feet, he scooped up the ball that bounced and rolled back towards him. He glared at where the hoop used to be. He couldn't believe it. The hoop, had disappeared before their eyes.
