CHAPTER ONE:
Rose
"Hey Rose." My cheerful cousin greets me as he sits down on the opposite bench for lunch in the great hall.
"Hey Al." I reply, not so cheerfully.
"Well, what's got your wand in a knot?!" He questions.
"Malfoy. That's what."
"Huh. Whats he done now?" He sighs, looking at me adoringly.
"Oh, please. Don't act like you care, Al. He's your best friend, Merlin knows why." I snap.
"Family comes first, Rosie." He grins.
"Suuuure. You love watching him annoy the hell out of me." I say, raising my eyebrows accusingly.
"Hm, true." He shrugs and reaches for a sandwich. "Typical." I mutter, but let out a small smile. That smile soon disappears as I feel someone sit down next to me. I frown as I see a flicker of blonde hair from the corner of my eye. Then, as I realise just who it is, I do just about the biggest eye roll possible and silently curse Albus for not sitting next to me; but then, of course, the prat would just sit opposite me instead.
"Hey Weasley. You alright? You're looking a bit hot and bothered. It's not me, is it? I do have that effect on most people." He laughs, along with Al. I choose to ignore him.
"Speechless as well? Wow. That's new." He smirks and I shoot him a stone cold glare. Al laughs even harder.
"Oh, sod off Malfoy, you insufferable bastard." I snap. That just makes him smirk even more. Urgh.
"Well, well, Weasley. We are in quite the mood aren't we." He says in a high pitched, patronising voice. I decide against answering and instead pick my pumpkin juice filled goblet and poor it over him and his posh robes.
"What the hell, Weasley! You bitch!" He exclaims, looking at me and then his robes in complete disgust.
"Oops" I reply with a grin, get up and walk out of the hall, hips swaying.
Yes! Point to Rose!
"Pleaaase Rosie?" Lily, another one of my cousins, begs.
"Sorry, Lils, you know I would love to help, but I can't. I just have too much work." I honestly would love to help, I know the stress she's going through, O.W.L's are tough. But I need to work really hard this year.
"But Rooooose." She whines, "You're just so smart!" she sticks out her bottom lip. Pfft, like that's going to work.
I raise my eyebrows, "Flattery isn't going to work this time, Lily." I smile kindly, "but I will try and help you, only when I can."
"Yes! Thank you so much, Rose." She squeals.
"Only when I can. Which isn't right now." I say sternly.
"Yeah, yeah. I got it, don't worry!" She smiles, lighting up her beautiful face. She's looking towards the library door. I follow her gaze.
"Its that guy I was telling you about." She's looking (staring) at a tall Ravenclaw with dark messy hair and absolutely wonderful cheekbones.
"Hel-lo!" I say, taking a good look.
"I told you he's hot!" She giggles, almost drooling.
"And you weren't wrong!"
"You wouldn't be talking about me would me would you ladies?" Came the all to familiar drawl from Malfoy as he walked over to us. To my disappointment, he'd managed to clean himself up- of course he did, he's a bloody wizard, Rose.
"Oh, dream on, Malfoy." I give him a death stare.
"Oh, Rosie," he winks and bends down so he is inches away from my face, "I will." and with that he kisses my cheek and struts out of the library, leaving me completely breathless and lost for words.
One point to Scorpious, the prick.
