Fly me to the moon...
"I hear that her voice is quite magnificent…" Ritsuko sighed. Misato laughed and looked up at the stage, "- I guess… I just hope that they'll do something like this again…The children seemed to enjoy themselves making this… and it's nicer than actual work!" she laughed.
"It's pretty rare that they get to do things like this, right?" Kaji said while slumping back in the chair. "- You're right! So don't mess it up for the kids!" Ritsuko giggled. Kaji lost his jaw at the remark and turned to face Misato whilst yelling: "Misa-chan! Say something!"
The Major just sat there completely ignoring the man she was talking to. "Hey look its beginning!" Misato said and pointed to the stage where a red curtain was being pulled away to both sides by Toji and Kensuke.
On the stage, Rei was standing in a large blue sparkling dress, that didn't hide her features but covered her up so much that it went all the way to the floor. There was also a large piano where Kaworu was getting ready to play in an all black tuxedo. Asuka was standing with a violin in her hands, getting ready to play it any minute. All to the left Shinji stood with a set of drums where he was apparently cueing it to the right tone.
Suddenly, Kaworu began playing, followed by the rest of the players short after. Then the whole theatre room grew dark and a spotlight emerged, that pointed directly to Rei in her blue dress.
"Fly me to the moon… and let me play among the stars…"
She sang in a beautiful voice, completely enchanting the audience.
"- Let me see what spring is like…" She sang while slowly reaching out for something behind her dress.
Then it all happened inhumanely fast. Rei suddenly took of her dress and revealed a black blouse with skulls and such on, and a black miniskirt. Asuka threw away the guitar perfectly timed with Kaworu reaching out behind the piano and throwing an electric powered guitar to the redhead. Shinji just ripped his clothes apart to reveal some gothic clothes too, while the spotlight changed from white to red and sparks where seen around the corners.
"-When the sky rains fire and the souls of the infants –burn!!"
She practically screamed at the audience while flopping around with a bat-doll that she had taken out of her pocket behind her back, while the death metal music was playing behind her. Suddenly she bit the head off the toy bat and blood was covering her face completely.
The music drastically stopped. The audience remained quiet like if they were waiting for the crickets to appear, before a cough was heard at the back of the row. Gendo pushed his glasses back to his face, for somehow he had been near dropping them on the floor in bare surprise. If someone had dropped a needle, it would have been the loudest thing in the room.
Rei stared insecurely at the crowd, because their plan of a hysterical audience had apparently failed.
Kaworu slowly sat down on the mini chair once again before quietly playing again.
"…-When the…" She began slowly as the rest of the crew found their old beat again.
"… -Sky rains fire… and the souls of the infants… b-u-u-urn…" She smiled insecurely as the crowd once again applauded and clapped when she had changed her style back to the classical one.
