Title: Too Good

Summary: Because really, despite Star seeming to be the more naive one, it is really Marco who is too good for his own good.

Soft breathing, dark hair slightly ruffled, gentle rise and fall of chest and dark eyes closed, with his lashes gently resting on his cheeks. Marco Diaz is sleeping and like a creep, Star is watching him.

Sometimes Star wonders where he gets all the kindness in him. Because really, Marco always thinks the best out of everyone. He always does this to the point that when something bad happens he normally blames himself. He always sees the best in everyone and the worst in himself.

"Hmmm Star?" Dark eyes opened, gazing a little sleepily to the blonde girl sitting in the floor beside his bed. Marco should be weirded out really, but he has seen weirder things and really, its just Star. "Do you need something?" Not even halfway through the question, Marco was already sitting up, ready to help his friend and not for the first that night Star wondered. What did she do to deserve him?

What did she, a no good princess who seemed to destroy more than to create, who seemed to aggravate more than to help, who seemed to hurt more than to heal, deserve someone as good as Marco?

Star grinned at her friend and shook her head. "No I'm good." Marco frowned at Star and rolled away from her. He faced the blonde and patted the space beside him.

"Hmm just go to sleep Star." He murmured and proceeded to close his eyes. Star just smiled at her friend but didn't move from her place, just glad to observe her friend. A minute or two passed when Marco opened his eyes again.

"Staaaar." He groaned and faced her. "Just go here." He added and grabbed her hand. "Can't sleep with you staring. And you'll get sick if you don't get enough sleep." Star giggled at her dark haired friend but finally relented and laid on his side. She faced Marco and stared at him some more. She expected for Marco to go back to sleep after she gave in to his wishes but she was suprised when Marco pulled her closer with an arm in her waist.

"Why're ya staring at me?" He slurred slightly and tried to keep his eyes open. Star shook her head at this.

"Just go to sleep Marco I'll tell you tommorrow."

"M'kay. Tell me... troubles I'll help solve for you." Star felt more than heard the mumbles of Marco and she grinned. Seriously her friend just cares too much. And is really too warm. As much as she wanted to ponder on his kindness, the warmth he exhibited made her eyelids heavy.

Really sometimes Star wonder just where does Marco gets all his kindness and his warmth.

She also wonders what she did to deserve all this. What she did to deserve him.

But maybe wondering is no use. Because kindness and warmth is what summarizes Marco Diaz and maybe she is also just too sleepy to think.

With a yawn, Star shrugs all this thoughts away and sleeps, after all it's not always that she feels this warm and safe.

A/N: I was writing this in the middle of the night in my phone while watching the episode "Lobster Claws" so sorry for grammatical errors and typos. As for the timeline its up to you. Hope you like it.
