I own nothing.

When Kyouraku Shunsui, Kurosaki Isshin and Matsumoto Rangiku get together to get a drink (or five), every bar-goer in Seireitei and a lot of the bar-goers in Rukongai batten down the hatches. When Shunsui, Isshin and Rangiku get together to drink, Ichimaru Gin and Ise Nanao roll up their sleeves and prepare to drag Rangiku and Shunsui respectively away from the scene of the crime when all is said and done. No one comes for Isshin; either Rangiku remembers to grab him the next morning or he has to drag himself back to the Tenth Division grounds.

Needless to say, it's going to be a loud night.

The next morning, Nanao and Gin arrive as usual to survey the wreckage.

"Good grief," Nanao can be heard to murmur, and Gin nods in agreement.

"Do you see Rangiku anywhere?"

"No. What about Kyouraku-taicho?"

"'Fraid not."

They do hear, however, the groans of another Shinigami somewhere within the rubble of the wrecked-out bar. The bartender, surveying the ruins of his establishment with something akin to despair, snarls and points in the direction of the window to the far left.

Gin and Nanao start towards the direction of the groaning. As they do, Gin shoots a look down at the younger Shinigami at his side. "You might want to stay behind me, Ise-chan. You know how he gets sometimes when he wakes up hung-over in a weird place."

For a moment Nanao frowns at him as though she'd like to take offense to Gin's advice, but then she seems to think better of it. "You're probably right."

They approach the source of the groaning, and neither of them are surprised by what they see, though both shake their heads in disgust.

"Good morning, Kurosaki-taicho," Nanao greets Isshin coolly.

On the floor in the shade, Isshin is sprawled out on his back. He's just starting to wake up, rubbing his forehead with his eyes squeezed tightly shut. When he becomes aware of Gin and Nanao standing over him, he opens his eyes and smiles blearily at them. "One of you mind helping me up?"

They ignore him.

"Drinking is such a stupid hobby," Nanao remarks, shaking her head with her arms folded across her chest.

"I agree," Gin replies disgustedly.

They walk away, ignoring Isshin's pleas for assistance. They've got better things to be doing.
