Each summer,
The flowers bloom tall,
Birds sing,
Fawns frolic,
But once those six months are over,
Winter falls,
And mankind is threatened,
For Demeter demands her daughter,
And all Heaven and Earth she shall slaughter.
Kore, for her true love,
She risked her mother's wrath,
Brave to the end, Persephone stands,
With her Hades,
And leads the dead,
Brave young Kore,
Sweet innocence.
