A/N: This is a poem written after I read the end of Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru. It contains spoilers for EP7 and probably EP8 – though the end (as pretty much everything in Umineko) can be interpreted in a lot of ways. I worship Ryukishi07 for creating the series, by the way.

I don't own anything and I don't earn anything either. This is fiction. Enjoy.

When the Seagulls Cry

~x~

The blond witch in the black dress,

the sinner who'll never confess,

the mad magician searching for forgiveness,

on the island where there remains no witness.

~x~

The women that were two yet the same,

though none of them took part in the game.

Remembered by none and still not forgotten,

the cherished love that turned twisted and rotten.

~x~

The two that are one,

be it daughter or son.

May only one of them be alive,

to be killed on the last day by the reapers scythe.

~x~

The witches clinging to the rest of their sanity,

long ago having lost the last bit of humanity.

Those Voyagers plagued by the illness called boredom,

lonely children maiming and killing at random.

~x~

The greed tearing apart the family from within,

brothers and sisters slaying their own kin.

The humans clueless like sheep,

together with the island were forever put to sleep.

~x~

The future witch that took away the key,

to the cat box lying on the bottom of the sea.

That girl that so desperately clung to logic,

in the end opened her eyes to the world of magic.

~x~

Together the lovers die,

on the day the seagulls cry.

Tough you can still hear them breathe,

if you truly believe.

~x~

It may be impossible in mystery,

but, really, this is fantasy.

Kudos to those who get all the referred people beyoned the obvious ;)
