Nothing Frequency by halostatic

Umm okay, second Getbackers fic I've written. I doubt it will be any much better than the first. It's probably OOC as well. If so, I'm sorry.
I don't own Getbackers okay?

The sun had come down in huge quantities that morning. It left nothing untarnished and everything burned and hot to the touch.

And somehow the laughing of the children, the jubilant songs of the birds, and the feel of the lush grass in his fingertips just didn't belong.

This same place had been cold and distant not too long ago, when the children stayed indoors and the grass had given away to barren, hard earth.

He mumbled something and plucked a blade of grass, held it to his lips and blew. A whistle made from nature. He listened to the strained sound with his ears and let the green blade float in to the wind.

"Carry my heart with that, and maybe I'll see you again," he said.

His eyes gazed upwards to the vast blue sky. The cotton-like clouds swam by as if they were in no hurry.

Spring had always meant the rebirth of new things, but he had always hated it when the yellow pollen floated up in to his nose and made him sneeze violently.

There had always been a gentle smile offering him a tissue.

A golden offender had invaded his nostril passage and he sneezed. He opened his eyes and almost half expected to see a hand and happy upturned eyes. Never had he felt so alone in a place that had always been home.

Never did he think that the soft lips and golden hair that he cherished would vanish and never did he think that those innocent brown eyes would close.

"I loved you with all my heart, all I knew how," he said to the sky

"Maybe you still love me too, or maybe you found someone so much more deserving," he added.

"One more thing...I'll never stop loving you."

He got up to leave and he swore that he could hear happy laughter. He looked around him, but there was no one.

"Must be my memories," he said and left, his shoes crushing the grass.
