Jonah Vargas could see the future. He had the ability to see what people would do in the future and he was an engineer. When he found out about these freak powers that he had he started to try and find a way to control it. He managed to do just that with the power of a gem that he thought of as just some little sparkling gem. What he didn't know was that it was actually the Mind Gem.
