He was there. Always there. With this mockingly vindictive look that flitted across his face every time he saw my tears. I try not to cry, to be strong, but how can I? He took everything from me. My life, my home, my friends. He treats me as through I'm a play thing to be used and run dry, then tossed with out a second thought. I didn't want to be here, it's not like I had a choice in the matter. Though many would say that I brought this on myself. That I wanted this. Years from now the history books will say:

"Queen Ginevra was once a commoner of the old race, but when the time came for King Harry to find a Queen her oddities where what drew the attention away from more suitable brides. Her lack of attention for the Royal Party caused quite a stir and drew the King's attention. She was a lack-luster Queen, but the nobles and commoners agreed that the King and Queen of the New Era where quite in love."

Love. Ha! This is not love. If he loved me he would not treat me so. However, the text books always skip the details that would put their Kings into a bad light. His vindictiveness, his pleasure at my pain, is wearing me down. I do not not know how long I can take this. Any of this. The tormenting of my soul. If it was physical pain then I could handle that, but his mind-games. His mind-games hurt so much more, they slap and punch, but they do not leave a mark that people can see.

Many compare our story to Cinderella, a Prince finding his Princess, riding into the sunset of our happy-ever-after. I did not ride on a stead into the sunset, I was dragged by the hair into the pits of my very own personal hell.

I must go. For now. I can hear his footsteps down the hall. My hopes for this diary is that you reading this will know the truth about the King and Queen of the New Era. That King Dylan the Kind is truly King Harry the Vindictive and that Queen Ginevra the Common was truly a victim.

May the truth be told,

Ginevra
