Disclaimer: I don't own House… Too bad, 'cause if I did, House and Cuddy would rule the world, ha.
A House Is Not a Home
"So, where was I?"
Taub opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off before he even got the opportunity to say anything.
"Oh, wait! I know! You are all morons." House glared at the four ducklings sitting around the table. Once again, they almost killed their patient. Luckily, House had an epiphany about three minutes before they led him into a surgery that would most likely kill him. "Hey, wait up!" Thirteen scowled "It's not our fault if don't have crazy brains like yours! We are humans, House. We're allowed to make mistakes, you know." He laughed bitterly. Oh, how fun would this be? "You are DOCTORS. When you make a mistake, people die. I hope I'm there next time you kill someone." He put on a mocking sad-dog-face and mimicked her voice "Oh, I'm so, SO sorry for killing your father, crying little girl. I know you've told us he's allergic to penicillin and that's what we gave him, but hey! I'm just a person! I'm clearly allowed to make mistakes, you see. Here's a lollipop!"
Foreman snorted as House turned his attention to him. "Anything to share, bro?"
"Oh, no… I was just thinking… You know what's funny?" He raised an eyebrow at his employee. What in hell was he talking about? "Hm… Clowns, Seinfeld, Justin Bieber" He paused "No, that one is just annoying." Foreman ignored him. "It's funny that it's been a week since Wilson told us about Cuddy moving in with some guy… And you've been cranky all week!" All ducklings shared a laugh. Their boss has always been like this, but an opportunity to mess with him about Cuddy was too good to let pass. Chase laughed "Oh, my God! You're completely nuts about her, aren't ya?" "There's a huge difference between being nuts about someone and trying to get into that someone's pants, Aussie one."
The blond doctor rolled his eyes. "Just saying…" House was about to make a sarcastic comment when they heard a knock on the door.
"House, gotta talk to you." Cuddy's head appeared on the doorway of the diagnostic room.
The other doctors looked at the two of them standing and exchanged glances and chuckles. It's was like their little inside joke.
Ah, but that was a long time ago. As time goes by, some things change, some people change…
Six months later…
"House, gotta talk to you." Cuddy's head appeared on the doorway of the diagnostic room. She looked fresh, relaxed… Even younger, some would dare to say.
"Sure thing, sweet cheeks." House said, getting his cane as he walked towards the door. He spread his arms wide open, inviting her in. Maybe to show how much he missed her, but probably just trying to show his employees some action.
Cuddy stopped him on his track. Pointing the guys' table with her chin, she faked a little cough. Her love-boy rolled his eyes, but turned to that direction.
"Hum…" He stood there awkwardly "Good job today, guys."
She smiled warmly at him as the both of them left the room as quickly as they could.
After a small, uncomfortable silence, Foreman was the first one to speak.
"Well, that's a nice change."
"Totally. She's changed him so much… I like it." Chase agreed.
"It's almost…" Taub paused to think for a moment "Well, it's almost like she's turned that old House into a Home."
Foreman, Chase and Thirteen stared at him, shocked.
"Oh, come on! It wasn't THAT bad!"
"Dude, you stink." Thirteen giggled.

N/A: Hm, dunno what to say. It's been decades since the last time I wrote a fanfic, so I might be a little out of form. Also, English isn't my mother tongue, so forgive me for any grammar mistakes. Blah, blah, blah… That's all, folks! Review ^^
