hey a short one- shot... Not my best work. Love ya! Hx

"Class!" the supply teacher yelled trying to calm us all.

Now I was even more worried. Bella, she hadn't arrived yet. It was period 2 of the day and she hadn't shown up yet. Up until now I just thought she had been running late because of traffic or her truck was playing up but now I knew something was wrong.

Bella never missed school. She didn't particularly like it but she always showed up, if it wasn't for the work, it was to spend her day with me. I had left early this morning promising to meet her this morning in the parking lot and she had agreed excitedly.

I had returned home to change and pick up Alice this morning. Usually Alice rode with Jazz, Rose and Em- while I was with Bella- however they were all away so I was traveling with Alice and meeting Bella at school. Time passed while we stood in the parking lot talking but by the time the bell went Bella still hadn't arrived. During first lesson I expected her to show up, stumbling through the door making her apologies, but she hadn't.

"Alice." I hissed too quiet for the other students to hear.

"Yes?" she asked politely from geography down the corridor.

"Have you seen anything of Bella? She's still not shown up. I'm worried." I tried to control my shaky voice.

I stayed inside Alice's head, looking as she flipped through the future. Nothing of Bella.

"No news is good news right?" she asked me hopefully.

"Hmm, when as that ever applied to my Bella?" I chuckled but it wasn't a happy sound.

"She does have a way with trouble doesn't she?" Alice mused.

"That she does." I confirmed, "If you see anything please shout."

"Sure," she paused, "Look, Edward, I know the others are worried about Bella being with you but I really do like her and I'd like to get to know her better." Alice assured me she would inform me of any news before we both turned our attention back to our classes.

By the time lunch came, surprise, surprise, Bella still hadn't shown up.

*…bring… bring…* I waited… *…bring… bring…* nothing… *…you've dialled the number 07…* I hung up.

"No luck?" Alice asked as I sat back down at our table.

The table was strangely empty today. There was no warm body say on my lap or cuddled into my side. Not to mention the quiet from Emmett's poor jokes.

Though my brothers and sisters- especially rose- had shown an obvious disliking to the idea of me and Bella being together they had allowed us to sit with them instead of the table that only me and Bella used to sit at across the cafeteria.

"Edward, the bell rung." Alice told me gently, seeing my deep thought.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't hear it." I grabbed my bag and phone and made my way to class with Alice.

"You know, Bella might just have over slept. I mean how much sleep does she actually get, with you talking to her for hours. Honestly, you two talk like you're two old women who haven't seen each other in years and have to catch up." She teased.

"We do not talk like old women." I argued, "Besides she does get a couple of hours each night, by my insistence!"

"Sure, sure." She laughs, ignoring my growl.

The last few hours passed until the final bell rang, signifying the end of the day. Halleluiah!

"Alice, drive?" I tossed her the keys whilst I hopped in the Volvo taking out my phone.

*bring…bring…* I waited… *…bring… bring…* still nothing… *…you've dialled the number 07…* I hung up once again.

"Still no answer." I complained.

"We are nearly there, don't stress." I looked up as Alice drove down Bella's road.

We hopped out of the car. I stopped and listened. No heartbeats'.

"Let's see if she left a note or something." Alice suggested.

"Okay." We opened the door, and then stopped dead.

Oh no.

Hope you liked it! =) Hx
