Jack looked down at the note crumpled in his fingers he wrote just moments before, the tear tracks evident on his face as they had frozen upon it. The note read:

Guardians, by the time you're most likely seeing this, I'll be gone. It's evident you don't need me, after all I'm invisible to majority of the children, I have been for over 300 years and I'm tired of it. No one will miss me if they haven't been able to see me. Which ever one of you finds this, I want you to know that you've been wonderful, but I can't bear this empty feeling I still hold any longer. Tooth, I know this is going to hit you the hardest, and I've been meaning to say this but it's too late now, even so, I love you Tooth. I have since I saw you, your gorgeous feathers, the plume on top of your head. Your bright magenta eyes, the wings fluttering behind you. I love you, and i'm sorry it's too late now. Bunnymund, I know we've never been on each others good side, but I'm letting you know that you're one of the best bunnies I've ever met, and trust me, I haven't met a lot of bunnies like you. Sandy, you're one of the ones I can consider a close friend, your dream sand is amazing, it's beautiful the way it flows and the images it can create is astonishing. North, I've tried to break into your toy factory for years, only to get caught by the yetis, but I have been able to catch glimpses of the inside. It's amazing how they work, and the ice sculptures you do are amazing. You've been a sort of father-figure to me for the longest time, ever since the incident in the lake before I got turned into the Spirit of Fun. I just wanted to say I love you all as friends and family, and for you to not miss me too much from my sad departure from my immortal life. This is my final farewell. Good-bye.

He reread the note, the tears once again falling down his face, he placed the note in an area where one of the Guardians was sure to see it, before he walked out to make his final farewell a dream come true.
