Beyond this is a High

Prologue

Ring! Ring!

My hand reaches out, pushing down none too gently on the snooze button to the annoying alarm clock. Honestly, I hate the person who created the dang thing with all of my heart. I sit up slowly; pushing the mess I call hair from my face. I was too tired last night and forgot to pull it all back… this'll be fun to brush out.

Guess a quick description of me will be nice. Or not. But anyways—blue hair. Teal, if you please. Blue eyes as well. Creamy colored skin. Average high school student who sees no meaning in both school and life. Yeah, this is me. My name is Miku, by the way. Miku Hatsune.

Welcome to the first day of my senior year high school life.

People roam about the hallways; some aimlessly, others reuniting with "friends" they had never bothered to contact over the summer. Though I just have my head stuffed in my locker as I try to memorize my new class schedule. Half of me was telling myself not to even bother—my life is already going nowhere. I have no point, so why bother and go off to some class and try to better it? What'll that achieve? Oh, I know how to add two plus two. I must be a genius. (Be the way, it equals either four or fish. Whichever you prefer.)

The first bell rings; some people rush off, others linger.

Well, here goes my first day of my final year of high school…

Yeah. It's short. But it'll come along. It's in present tense, so there might be mistakes—I don't use present tense all that often. Lately I've been writing in past tense, third person; not present tense, first person. It's a bit of a change up from my current style, so…

Anyways, I obviously do not own Vocaloid.

Next chapter should be out in a few weeks; I have school to finish up. Once summer is here, I'll be free to write whenever I please. Well, mostly whenever I please. So, bear with me.

Uh, review? You can pet Kaito's scarf if you do? |'D

Peace. Love. Anime.
