Boots and Boys

Rokuro Okajima's been used to weird shit for quite some time now. A year with the courier company Lagoon, made it so that most abnormalities just become a part of life.

So, this isn't supposed to be so bizarre, right?

Shopping is normal, right?

Only… this is Revy we're talking about. And right now, Rokuro Okajima is about three seconds away from getting the hell outta there.

"Ugh…. " she plucked the boot off her foot, wriggling her toes in her tights, "I'm gonna get blisters if I even try to walk in them…. Size six? My ass!"

Rock tries to hide his sigh, "Really? …should I get you a larger size then?" he said and started to the spot where they had been.

"Nah…. Just grab me tha- NO!" she paused mid-way to pointing to a pair of black boots, she leaned backwards and pointed to a pair of sandy brown boots right behind Rock, "Those."

It's the fourth pair she's tried on this morning, and he is just waiting for her to - "Oh, fuck yeah!" she exclaimed and stood up. She sways a bit, being unaccustomed to the height of the heel, but seemed to find her equilibrium faster than he expected. She rises up on her toes to test how much give the boot offers.

"Those look great on you," Rock said, trying to sound cheerful. Inside he wonders if she's not just trying soften him up before she caps him.

"Oh, cut the bullshit. These are fucking fantastic!" she exclaims and walks to the mirror. She twists her feet left and right, getting a look at the back before turning back around, "I gotta admit, I think I just fell in love."

Rock's lopsided smile couldn't be stopped. He couldn't help but have the image of Revy –euphoric over her new boots- as a little girl, spinning around like that, floating around in his mind.

"What the hell have you been smoking? I'm not talking about you!" she scoffed and snatched the box from the floor and heads to the counter to pay for the newest love of her life, "… tsh…"
