The trees were brimming with cherry blossoms, the pink petals gliding gracefully to the ground one by one. They dotted the dark brown earth thickly, and a multitude of bird pokemon chirped an announcement to the world; spring was here. A solitary petal floated down and landed on the cheek of a young girl, resting peacefully under the warm sun.

Her name was Touko.

Her Sawsbuck was her pillow at the moment, and her chest rose and fell with each breath as she slept. Little Deerlings pranced around, bounding through the trees, carefree and happy. Sawsbuck envied and pitied them at the same time. They were able to run all over, with not a soul to demand anything of them. Yet, he could bet his pokeball that none of them had a friend like her.

Her pokemon looked up suddenly, sensing someone approaching. The footsteps were quiet and unsure, before growing louder and confident, as they broke free from the trees. The younger pokemon felt it as well, and fled, being the skittish creatures they were. But Sawsbuck felt no fear. He recognized the young green haired man approaching. He wore a blissful smile, his eyes scanning Touko's sleeping form. Kneeling down, he gently brushed the petal off her cheek, his fingers delicately caressing her skin.

"Touko." He whispered, and watched in sheer euphoria as she awoke at the sound of her name. Her eyes opened, and focused uncertainly on him, and he could hear the happiness in her voice as she spoke his name.

"N."

This was one of the reasons he loved her. She was always so cheerful, yet rarely suprised, and took things in stride. And, with little difficulty, she always managed to take N by suprise. Touko never ceased to amaze him.

"N?"

His name again, only this time a question, a request for his attention.

"Yes?" He said, not hesitating to respond.

"Do you love me?"

'What a silly question,' He thought. Surely she knew the answer. He replied anyway, tucking a hair behind her ear.

"Of course."

Without skipping a beat, she shot another question at him. "Can you prove it?"

His lips were on hers the minute the words left her mouth. N was going to make it short, but he couldn't find it in him to pull away. Touko sensed this, lacing her fingers together behind his neck, keeping him there. His hands slipped under her back, lifting her to him. Sawsbuck moved away from the two, knowing to leave them alone. With a peaceful snort, he went back into his pokeball, located in his trainer's bag.

"N..." Touko breathed, her face close to his. He lifted her bridal style, kissing her again, as he began to head to the cottage ahead; the same one he had ordered built, just for them. N and Touko alike were glad it was so close.

Their lips met again as he opened the door. He didn't bother to close it; heading up the stairs swiftly, still kissing her, he heard it swing shut. He quickly sent a mental thanks to his zorua, who, after deftly securing the lock, settled on the mat as guard.

The bedroom door was already open; it had never been shut, being such a used room. Pulling her to the bed, they fell together, sending up a puff of sheets around them. Holy Arceus, did he love her. Capturing her mouth again, his legs became entangled in hers, and neither of them even remotely noticed as the door creaked, and clicked firmly shut. Touko's Tepig grumbled softly, already adjusted to the routine actions of his owner and the tea green-haired man. The small pokemon blushed slightly as his mind wandered curiously to what they did in that room, but shook the thought away, and ran down to go play, knowing the couple would be unavailable until tomorrow.

Touko and N would be very busy, it seemed.
