A/N: Whew. Haven't posted anything LOST in forever, but I've had this one sitting around and finally felt the need to get it out there.

"He came to talk to me today."

He doesn't need to say who, exactly, came to talk to him today. Ji Yeon knows. She's been waiting for this moment.

Aaron is staring at her from across the kitchen, blonde hair falling in his big blue eyes, eyes she's gazed into since she was a little girl. She's loved him since then, too, can still see flashes of the little American boy she had play dates with even as he stands before her, a man clutching a glass of red wine.

"He wants you to join him there." It isn't a question. Ji Yeon thinks of the house they're standing in, the apartment before that, his mother's condo, her grandparents' mansion in Korea. Places they've lived, the people inside the places.

She loves their home, but only because Aaron is there with her.

Aaron sets down his glass and walks towards her, takes her hands in his. She stares down at their wedding rings. Her grandparents hadn't wanted her to marry so young. "He wants us to go," he explains.

Ji raises her head to read his expression. He is hopeful, nervous, scared, she can see it all on his face.

"Both of us?" she asks, unsure. Aaron has always been the wanderer with an as-yet-unknown mission, a man who will do great things. He's special, anyone can tell. She's always been the girl who doesn't belong anywhere.

Which is why she feels such relief when Aaron nods and places his hands on each side of her face. For so long now she has felt a tug to the mysterious island where her parents died. With Aaron in tow, Ji Yeon wonders if she will finally find peace.

"He said there's some important stuff we have to do." Aaron's hands are shaking. This choice can't be taken back. "Are you okay with this? Are you - do you—"

"Yes," Ji interrupts. Aaron moves his hands to her shoulders. "Yes. We have to go. This is… I think this is what we've been waiting for."

Aaron nods with a sort of dazed smile, and then he kisses her.

It's not yet time to think of the people they will leave behind, just like it's not yet the moment to call Charlie Hume or Clementine Phillips or Julian Carlson and see if they were contacted as well, all of them children of the island in one way or another.

Instead, Ji Yeon thinks of the future. She can't wait to see what her old friend Walt has in store for them.
