Doyle suddenly understood the saying 'a deafening silence. He couldn't hear a thing. The noise of the explosion had been amplified in the small room. Dust and debris was everywhere, He could just see Bodie's silhouette in the doorway.
'You alright mate?' Christ he couldn't hear himself!
Bodie was laughing! He pulled Doyle from the rubble that had been his planned bathroom refurbishment.
Doyle's hearing began to return. Bodie, tears of mirth running down his face, looked at his partner.
'So sorry mate ... drilled through the electricity cable. Saved you time on demolishing the old one though!'
