Disclaimer; You know the deal. Resident Evil is stuck in the toilet because it doesn't belong to me.
Well, this fanfiction revolves around Ms. Rebecca Chambers, good ol' Becky. I must say, she's my second fave female character, second to Claire. And you should know which guy I luff a lot ::cough*Steve*cough:: but hey, onto the fanfic!! Can't wait to hear from your opinion!!
Unknown Reflections
She stared blankly at the mirror. Having very thoughts of committing suicide always wandered around in her mind. Always being left out, always trying too hard to fit in. Maybe some things in life are too precious they betray you, but, maybe if she'd give her own life another chance.
Looking at the mirror, Rebecca quickly shook her head to the look of herself.
'Why was I chosen to live?' thought Rebecca.
'How come I have to live in so much misery?' Rebecca looked at herself, frowning.
'Maybe, maybe that I am special in a way? But how?' Rebecca held her tears back.
'No, life wasn't meant for me,' and Rebecca punched the mirror, glass dropping onto the carpet.
Rebecca looked at her hand, drenched in blood. Tears started falling on her cheeks, realizing it really does hurt when you take in so much pain, so much that you feel like dying any minute. Getting up, Rebecca quickly walked in the bathroom, and washed the blood out from her hand, then wrapping her hand in a bandage. Within a few minutes, she wiped the glass from the now broken mirror.
All frustrated, Rebecca sat down on the carpet floor, shedding more tears. Rebecca always had a saying, 'Crying is like feeling bad for yourself'. And it was true, Rebecca did feel bad for herself, but, everyone did too. Everyone felt bad for Rebecca, and Rebecca didn't see that they cared.
Outside the room, Jill was confused from the noise inside, "Becky, you ok?"
"Huh, yeah, I'm ok.." Rebecca said, still inside the room.
"Well, dinner's ready, also Chris and Claire are over for dinner, so come down soon," sighed Jill, walking back downstairs after trying to get Rebecca out.
Sighing, Rebecca looked at the broken mirror. She saw many reflections of herself, staring back. It haunted her even by looking at herself, Rebecca felt as if there was a ghost watching her, or a person just like her. That person that was just like her acted the same way, talked the same way, thought the same way, did everything the same way, even in ways Rebecca couldn't have imagined at all.
"Guess I have to go and have dinner now," Rebecca said to herself, opening the door, and now making her way downstairs to the dining room.
An upbeat Claire ran upstairs over to Rebecca, and looked at the hand, "Huh? What happened to your--"
"Oh, n-nothing, minor accident, you know, always having that feeling of punching something," Rebecca smiled and laughed.
Claire shook her head and laughed a bit, helping Rebecca make her way downstairs.
"Happy Birthday Rebecca!" everyone shouted and smiled.
There was Jill, Chris, Barry, some guy named Carlos, and also another guy named Leon. Claire smiled when Rebecca hugged all of them, especially the two guys she didn't know for at least coming over to celebrate the party.
It turned out to be a good night after all, even though some reflections always stare back at you when you don't want them to happen. Maybe life is actually so precious, and also even life itself can always be important.
The End
