My Reflection

Standing alone in the light of day,

I see my reflection in the water.

Why?

Why is life this way?

I look around and see...

Emptiness.

Not in the outside world...

But in my heart.

Whatever happened in the past?

I shake my head in agony.

That's all I feel now.

Pain and agony.

The innocence that everyone remembers in me

Is now gone.

Just like my sun.

Just like my reflection in the water.

As now the day becomes night,

And the moon isn't there at all.

My sun?

What is that?

Shaking my head again, I walk away.

My reflection will appear again

If not tomorrow then today.
