Summary: John tries, to the best of his abilities, to explain why he left to join the Brotherhood and how much Bobby meant to him. Poem. Bobby/John
Disclaimer: I do not own the X-Men. If I did I would not by forced to write fanfics about these things. They would just happen.
Author's Note: Hey, I was thinking the other day about how annoyed I was that the movies never really elaborated as to why John left for the Brotherhood, so I decided to write this fic cause, in my mind, this is why John left.
Bobby,
Nobody understood me,
I was the apathetic teen,
But no one saw the side of John,
That only you had seen
They knew me just as Pyro
One step shy of mental help
But only you knew the things
That I had kept to myself
They flaunted lying smiles
They thought I didn't have a clue
But I knew I wasn't trusted
By anyone, but you
So as I'm sure you know, I left
I can't really explain why
I probably couldn't find the words
If I were even to try
They'll all call me a traitor
(Rouge will probably say it most)
I just pray that you won't raise your glass
In her "Good Riddance, Pyro" toast
My only hope is that you'll miss me
Like I'll miss you every day
But even if I'm forgotten
I'll always love you anyway
--Love John
