AN: Ok, so. About Luna, cuz I think she's great, and no one writes about her. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: It's not mine. But if you want to believe it is, who am I to stop you?
Love, Kiss-The-Air
Normal Once
She was normal once. A cute, sweet little blond girl with big blue eyes she was just like any other normal witch-ling.
Then those innocent blue eyes watched her mother fall ill. And they watch as the sickness got worse and worse and worse. They watched her family become depressed and sad, when before they had been proud and happy.
They watched her mother pass on to world unknown.
Those big blue eyes stared at her mother's body intently for hours. She could remember putting one of her small hands on her mother's cooling skin, tears blurring her eyesight.
She remembered closing her eyes and trying to breath. And then she remembered nothing until she awoke days later to a worried and bedraggled father.
Luna had been normal once. She remembered it.
But then her father threw himself into his writing; she barely ever saw him. When she did, though, he would tell her the most interesting stories. Stories of a world that sounded like where she imagined her mother was.
'Snorkaks always come out when it's cool and wet and dark,' her father had told her.
She remembered staying up late for a month for a rainy night. When it did rain, she remembered having the sniffles for a week.
But she also remembered a voice that sounded like wind through trees singing to her, and tiny bark-colored hands in her hair braiding it with wet leaves and painting her with mud.
Luna remembered how it felt like she was with her mother again. No one ever treated her as kindly as these creatures did; no one but her parents ever had.
It was like her life was back to normal for a few minutes.
It was then that she fell in love with the mystical world that even wizards new so little about.
It was then that she became obsessed with fey.
Luna remembered feeling these things. Those feelings, those memories were all that kept her going.
Luna had been normal once. But now she was extraordinary. Now she was amazing. Now she was part of the realm of fey.
