Black As Dawn
Prologue
Tick, tock.
No time left. No time at all. The smoke raises, the rain falls, the evidence incinerated. Nothings left. Not even time. No one knows that. No one ever will. Life will lead its courses and life will dig its grave. No ones left. Not even the invincible. Yet the wind blows, a whisper of the dead. Can you hear them? Can you feel their pain? Can you watch them burn. Thats not a question. You have no choice. Watch and learn. Lessons will serve you someday. Someday soon. When your all alone. Learn your lessons well and hope for survival. Survival of the fittest is how the game is played. When your all alone, you will learn. You will watch, listen, feel and from this you will learn. Yes you will learn. Just like I did. Though I had the wind. Of course I had the wind. It took me home. It stole my sanity. I listened night and day. I listened to the wind. I listened to the Dead. The Gone. I'm alone. In the dark. The dark is black. Black as dawn.
"Tainted Wings"
White, to say, is growing gray,
With every plume of smoke.
Crimson red drips from its head,
Results of sudden treason.
Crumpling brown brings forth a frown,
As man sees lethal impact.
Descending black, its muscles slack,
As the world they knew is taken…
