It was loud. It sounded painful. It piped up Yuuki's interest.
She could hear Zero's pained moans all the way to the second floor of the beach house. It started with a few shouts of 'It hurts like hell!' and 'would it hurt you to be a bit more gentle?'. Now there was just deep moans of agony and a bit chuckling from Kaname's part. Yuuki was a bit worried, to say at least. When the sounds stopped, she rose from her seat and hurried to the staircase. She was in the middle of her way down, when Kaname smiled at her from the root of the stairs.
"Found what you were looking for?" he asked gently and walked off after received a nod from the brown haired girl. Zero was still sitting on the sofa and quickly pulled his t-shirt back on. He looked like he was in pain, so Yuuki made her way to him and looked at him worriedly.
"Are you okay? You sounded like you were in pain", she asked as she sat next to him. Zero answered a quick 'I'm fine' and tried to lift himself off the couch, but fell back with a small whine. Yuuki was about to say something, but noticed that she had been leaning her hand on something warm. She lifted her hand and looked at her palm. There was something white and sticky on it. She blushed furiously and looked at Zero again.
"Umm, Zero... T-this is..?" she stuttered and showed him her messy palm. Zero glanced at it quickly and then lifted his shirt just a bit to show her the bright red skin on his back.
"Sun lotion. Kaname helped to put it on my back just now", he explained and winced when the hem of his shirt fell back down.
"O-oh, so that was it!" Yuuki sighed and tried to hide the red on her cheeks. Zero let it slide and tried to get up again, only succeeding to do so when Yuuki pulled him up by his arms.
The next morning was quiet. Yuuki took her time to brush her teeth and get dressed. A normal day. Even thought it was the summer vacation, she would not stay in bed the whole day. She left her room and went to downstairs, deceived by the delicious aroma of Zero's home made breakfast. On her way she noticed the couch being messy again, and spots of white substance on the dark pillows.
"Zero, I know your back was burned pretty badly, but please clean up if the sun lotion gets on the couch", she told to the silver haired youth while eating her bacon. For some reason Zero's face suddenly went from pale white to tomato red. He murmured something about cleaning it up right away and left the room with a wet rag, while Kaname tried to hide his wide smirk. Yuuki would never know.

Completely random. Just got an inspiration of my own sunburn. Hurts like hell. So I wrote this to get rid of the pain xD
