It is in Percy's POV,so don't get confused...
"Dude, she's never going to go out with me", he said, burying his face deeper into his hands.
"why don't you try, if by chance she accepts, we could go on a double date because you know that she is Piper's best friend."
"oh shut up Jason, Percy does not have the courage to ask her out even if she comes up and stands behind him."
"as if you have got the balls to ask cal out, heh, leo?", percy grumbled.
Leo was sniggering beside percy as he said, his voice shaking with silent laughter, "well at least I would ask her out if she is standing just behind me, waiting."
"just shut up leo, annabeth is totally out of my league",percy said anger through his voice as he looked up to find Jason looking at both of them with an amused look on his face. But, Jason was not looking at them, he was looking behind.
Just then percy heard an amused voice behind him say, "yeah Perce if you would ask her out, she would definitely agree!", the voice suspiciously sounded like... "Annabeth", he said turning to look behind him, where she was standing in all her glory which made him want to just stand up and kiss her, but the embarrassment of the situation got to him, as he said, "please tell me this is a dream ", was said with a red face.
"no perce, this is definitely not a dream", Leo said, howling with laughter clutching his belly.
"um, an-annabeth, wh-what you said, is, is it true by any means, and w-would you like to go on a date with me?", he asked her, stuttering and blushing furiously.
"of course seaweedbrain", she said, kissing percy on the cheek and slightly blushing.
She left him by the table, completely flustered gobsmacked ,but still he could not keep the stupid grin off his face, and he knew that Jason and leo were going to make fun of him forever because of this, but it did not matter because the great freaking annabeth chase had accepted to go on a date with him, and it was totally worth all the embarrassment.
How was that friends? this is based on just a random idea I had while eating my dinner.
