At first, Kakuzu wasn't sure what he was looking at. His partner appeared to be lying facedown on the bed, arms bent under his head, completely immobile. "Hidan?"
"What?"
"What are you doing?"
"What the hell does it look like I'm doing?" he sighed. "Don't answer that. I'm trying to relax, asshole."
"…….Why?"
Hidan slowly turned his head to glare at his partner. He spoke through clenched teeth. "Because that bitch Konan wanted someone to do her damn yoga with her, and I threw out my Jashin damned back, so I've gotta relax the muscles. Got it?"
Kakuzu smirked, then began cracking up. "Yeah, yeah, laugh while I'm down," Hidan muttered, turning away.
"Sorry Hidan, the idea of you doing yoga was too much," Kakuzu managed to stop laughing, but the smirk was still stuck on his face. Hidan didn't respond. "Come on, Hidan, it's funny." The Jashinist stayed quiet. The banker sighed and rose to his feet, walking out of the room.
Hidan shut his eyes when he heard the door. Finally, he could get some peace. Maybe he could sleep it off; he had no idea what to do right now, except what Konan had told him. At that moment, the door opened again. Great, his partner was back. So much for sleep, he may as well- he yelped as he felt something cold press against his back. He tried to sit up-"OWWWWW!"-bad idea.
He felt Kakuzu press down on his head. "Lie down." He obeyed the command, back still throbbing. "What the hell, Kakuzu?!" he hissed, back tensing.
"You need to ice your back when you throw it out, idiot."
Oh. So it was an ice pack. Hidan let his anger fall away. "Thanks."
All was quiet for a moment.
"'Kuzu?"
The banker perked up at the sound of his pet name. "Yes?"
Hidan motioned for him to sit. "Can I…put my head in your lap?"
"….Alright."
Very carefully, Kakuzu removed the pillow from under Hidan's head and sat down, moving the Jashinist's head onto his lap. Hidan frowned and shut his eyes. This action did not go unnoticed by the banker. "I thought you'd be in heaven right now. You do like pain, after all."
"Too much of a good thing, dumbass."
Kakuzu smiled and ran his fingers through his partner's silky hair. Hidan sighed contently, allowing a small smile to form on his lips. The banker knew how sensitive Hidan's head was, and how very much he loved this. It didn't take long for the Jashinist's breathing to even out. Kakuzu looked down. Sure enough, Hidan was asleep.
"I can't move while he's like this," he thought. "But I don't think I really want to, anyway."
