Her clothes were all gone. It didn't bother her as much as it would bother some other girls. It wasn't like she had heaps of clothin to begin with. But it was still a problem that she had nothing to wear.
The fire had started when she was bathing. It spread quickly, starting as a kitchen accident. The rest of her family had left the house with out harm, leaving her, forgotten, in the bath. But it wasn't like they knew she was in there. She had just returned from a failed mission, tired, sore, and not in the mood to face her father's questions. As she soaked she drifted in and out of consciousness, in and out of the past, trying to figure out how they had failed. By the time she realized her home was burning, yellowed tongues were licking the walls. It took her a moment to realize her danger, before dipping her towel into her bath and wrapping it soaked around her body. The next thing she new was she was outside, ash stained and coughing, naked all except for a towel that barely covered her at all, with Hanabi's face smashed into her bosom sobbing.
Her house burnt to the ground. It happened far too fast for the on duty ninja to get there. Her child hood home was gone, and with it went her clothing, the flowers that she had pressed for each momentous occasion in her life, her mother's heirlooms, and the picture she had taken, secretly, of Naruto.
