the party for New Years.I think Ray will be having a busy shift that night.Neela and Ray had been dating for almost a year now and
Abby was the first to know and then the rest of the hospital came to know.Before Abby could respond Ray came in whistling.Hey,
how is my girl doing?he asked Neela.Very funny Ray.I cant believe you will be missing the New Years party that Abby's throwing.
Well,about that,Abby tried again and this time Neela and Ray listened.Well Ray there's been a change and so you can take the night off
by coming for the day shift.Wow,thats great,he said.Neela looked from Abby to her boyfriend.Something was definately up.Knowing Abby
she would'nt change shifts with Ray.So,be ready for the party.I'll pick you up at 7:00,said Ray and then after giving Neela a quick peck on the cheek
he left for his duties.
That evening.
Wow,what a great party,said Ray.You've outdone yourself Abby.Why thank you,Dr Barnett,she said.Neela was still suspicious
about what had happened in the afternoon with Ray.And today Abby had told her 'about how she and Luka had first met'.What was going on?Why
was Abby talking about her love life?Neela,can I talk to you about something,asked Ray.Sure Ray .Ray took her to the center of the room and now Neela
knew that something was definately up.And then Ray bend down on his knees and said,Neela will you marry me?.Everyone was watching in
surprise.Neela looked down at him and noticed Ray looking at the clock.She understood right away that he wanted to propose to her at the
stroke of 12 and then instead of everyone cheering 'Happy New Year 2006' they were all looking at Neela.Yes,Ray,I do.Everyone cheered for
the couple.Neela and Ray hugged and now Neela understood everything.
