the doctor was busy fiddling underneath the tardis console when he felt the tiny vibration of foot fall upon the grating floor underneath him. careful so as not to hit his head, the doctor scooted himself out from under the console and sat up to see his little son in his pajamas standing before him. the doctors son was almost a perfect mix of himself and rose, with the doctors dark brown hair and roses chocolate brown eyes that light up when his son was excited. the doctor smiled as he looked at his son wearing his planet jammies and holding his baby adipose in his arms. "hey, what's wrong hen?" rose and the doctor had decide to give him a proper English name, Henry Auxilium Tyler, his middle name meaning to aid or help others. the little boy looked at the floor scuffing his tiny feet.

"i can't sleep daddy, i am afraid." the doctor raised his eyebrows and stood up off the floor walking and getting down on his knees before his son.

"afraid of what?" the little boy shrugged his shoulders. reaching out the doctor lifted his son up off the floor holding him in his arms. "how about i tell you a story then? would you like that?" the child nodded his head and laid it upon his father's shoulder. the doctor smiled and kissed his head walking around the console and swaying "lets see...how about i tell you the story about me when i was your age?" he looked down at his son whose head laid upon his shoulder.

"OK" the doctor smiled kissing him once more before flipping a switch on the console. the room suddenly went black frightening henry

"its alright look above you head." the little boy looked up to see the ceiling of the tardis transform into the night sky shedding light down upon them. "you are so young, and you know what? right now everything's ahead of you. all those adventures that are yet to come, all those days you have yet to see. You my boy could be anything, do anything your wildest dreams could imagine. you could walk among those very stars you see above you, kiss the milky way and feel the rings of Saturn under your fingertips. the stars don't actually look like that you know. they are rather impressive, these massive balls of light upon the outer reaches of the universes. when I was your age i dream't of the stars. I wondered what i would feel like to touch the moons above gallefrey, and taste the open air on another planet. I think its fair to say, in the language of your age, that I lived my dream. I owned the stage. Gave it a hundred and ten percent. Oh your mum and i ran, from the moment i first met her we ran upon those stars and felt the air of time to come and time past. we met the people that changed the world, making it the place you know now. I hope that you have as much fun as we did, Henry. that you take every opportunity to make the world your stage, and be the man I know you will be. I don't know how long i will be in this world, but i know that regardless of where my travels will take me that we will always be with you, mum and I. but most important remember that we will always love you." the doctor looked down in his arms at his son fast asleep upon his shoulder and smiled. kissing him once more upon the head the doctor looked up at the night sky "and know that you are always with me in my heart forever and always."
