Betrayed
"I don't get it. Why are you suddenly being nice to me?"
"Nice is such a strong word…" The colonel crossed his arms. Ed chuckled.
"You're not trying to molest me."
"Do you want me to?"
Ed turned red. "NO THANKS! I'm still a v-" He cut himself off.
"Still a virgin? We can fix that…"
Ed's face went from bright red to crimson. Roy stood and took Ed's hand, carefully leading him into the shallows of the lake. Deeper and deeper they went, until the water was up to Ed's neck and Roy's chest.
"Well, well, shorty."
"I'M NOT SHORT, YOU CRAZY BASTARD COLONEL!" Ed railed at the older alchemist.
"Crazy, eh? You have no idea."
"No. I don't." Suddenly, Ed felt hands wrap around his neck. "Roy?" And he was under the water, looking up at Envy's face and the stars behind him.
Envy smirked. The chibi wouldn't last long. Then – a sharp pain in the back of his hand. A shard of bone.
"No…NO!" Ed reached up and dragged him under. Slowly, the fierce light in the Fullmetal Alchemist's eyes dimmed and disappeared. His hand clasped Envy's wrist, making escape impossible. The bone – the bone of who he had once been…
A week later, the real Roy discovered their bodies washed up on the shore, Envy's hands still locked around Ed's throat and the shard of bone still embedded in Envy's hand.
Who had killed who? The answer could only be found in the minds of the enemies, their goals finally reached.
A/N: O.O not great, but haunting. I thought Ed would be extra wary and always have a piece of Envy's human remains with him. Where did he get said remains? Dunno. PLOT HOLE!
