This was written as a prompt in English class, and since I normally base all my writing prompts on manga, I wrote this one to Ichigo! Hand in Hand Together
Before you came, there was nothing worth doing other than living out my guilt-filled life
Guilt-filled from the belief I was the cause of my mother's death
The mother who was the center of our small universe
Suddenly, before my eyes, you appear like the wind through my window (literally)
Attitude cold like ice, eyes piercing straight through my soul like a sword
You committed the unforgivable to save my family and me
Kept the secret of the damn bounty on your head
They took you away and I was fucking helpless
Unable to protect you when you, a mere girl with the physique of a freaking 11-year-old, saved my life
I stormed a secure, peaceful world for you
Threw it into chaos, completly upside down, inside out
In the end, everything was revealed to schemed
Your life was in danger since you met me
In the end, I couldn't be the one to save you
You who was put in this danger on my account
You decided to stay in your home with a radiant smile on your face
The smile that made me accept that decision
But you couldn't stay away
You came back
Attitude warmer than ice, yet still frozen
Eyes still piercing through my soul
Now, you fight alongside me
Protecting my back as I protect yours
This battle is unpredictable
Blood splatters everywhere
The clang of metal against metal resonates
War cries beat against the walls
I swing my rage and will to protect the fucking world
You attack, completely covered in crusted blood, yet the fire in your eyes burns with resolve
Synchronizing our attacks, we wipe out the enemies before us
When this is over, if this is over, it won't be the end
It'll be the beginning
Then we will walk into which we cannot yet see
Hand in hand
