A/N: Al and Greed O.o I may do an Al/Wrath one in the future, but I wanted to do this one. XD GREED AND ED ARE BROTHERS
"GIVE BACK MY BIG BROTHER!" Ed clapped his hands and attempted to attack the suit of armour.
"Sorry, Edward. Maybe another time. Martel." The snake chimera nodded and dealt Ed a powerful blow to the back of the head.
The seventeen-year-old slung over Roa's shoulder yelled, "You're gonna pay for that, asshole!"
Martel shrugged. "He'll be okay. That is, if you cooperate."
"NO WAY IN HELL I'M COOPERATING!"
The armour sighed. "Fine. Martel."
He was only aware of a sharp blow to the back of his head before he lost consciousness."
---------------------------------
"Jimmy. Jimmy."
His eyes snapped open. "My name is GREED, dammit."
"Greed? That's an odd name. Greed Elric."
Greed tried to punch the boy squatted in front of him, but found his arms were tied. "Little punk…"
The boy had long brown hair tied in a ponytail, and kind grey eyes. In fact, he looked very similar to Ed, much to Greed's disgust. "My name's Alphonse."
"Alphonse? Then why do you have the homunculus tattoo on your hand?"
He pulled his sleeve down to hide the incriminating mark. "Forget it. It doesn't matter."
"You're working with Envy and Lust and Wrath, aren't you?"
"No. They're my enemies."
"Why?"
"None of your business." Alphonse quickly changed the subject. "You have the Philosopher's Stone inside you, don't you?"
Greed froze. "H-How did you know that?"
"I can see it glowing in your chest. I'm a homunculus – it's like a beacon."
"Shit. That means the others know I have it?"
"Maybe. If you let me use it, it'll be gone, and I'll be human."
Greed narrowed his eyes. "Screw you. That's the only thing keeping me alive."
"Really?" There was genuine interest in Alphonse's voice. "How?"
"Envy nearly killed me. Blade right through my heart. Ed fed me a Philosopher's Stone, and it's basically acting as my heart. If you use it up, I'll die."
Alphonse nodded. "Right." The look of abject misery moved Greed more than he'd ever admit. "I was hoping I could be human again."
"Let me go, and I promise I will try to find some more of the Stone for you."
"I can't trust you. I want to, but I can't. And I can't trust your brother. I envy you, you know. You two can trust each other so absolutely. The fit you threw when Martel knocked him out –"
"You were there? I didn't see you."
Al grinned, his eyes lighting up. "I can push…not my soul, I don't have one, but part of my mind, I suppose…into objects. I like using a suit of armour, because no one can hurt me."
Greed nodded slowly. This boy didn't want to hurt him, just to be human. He knew all too well that Envy wouldn't hesitate to use the Stone and watch him die, but Alphonse wasn't going to kill him. But –
"Why are you hesitating to kill me, when the Stone takes a thousand lives to make?"
"I…I don't know…" Alphonse cut the ropes binding Greed. "Go."
"Huh?"
"I SAID GO!" Greed made his escape, but not before turning back for a few seconds.
"I promise I'll find it, Alphonse."
A/N: Oooookay…doesn't make as much sense as the others, but I'll try to clarify. Ed has his automail and all that bad stuff. In this, only Ed can use alchemy, so Greed couldn't take part in the transmutation. So, Greed is trying to help Ed find the Philosopher's Stone. Then, Envy stabbed Greed, and Ed, who has just found the Stone, tries to heal Greed with the result of the Stone becoming Greed's new heart. I know…complicated.
