Disclaimer: If I owned these lovely characters I would be off on set talking to the actors or writing scripts….not in my room wasting time writing these little stories;)

Two men hurried from a car into an elementary school, eager to get out of the cold.

One, a taller man with a cane, scowled as he looked around the busy halls. Nicely dressed kids and their parents were rushing around and chattering.

"They all came here, just for a recital?" he asked his companion.

"You know, parents usually want to see what their money for music lessons goes towards," came the reply.

"Everyone except my father," House grumbled.

"House, that's the past. He's gone….let it go! You don't need to be mad at him anymore."

"I like being mad at him."

"You're late," Cuddy scowled as she ushered her friends into one of the few empty rows. "Sit down, she's about to start!"

House rolled his eyes. "We can't all be as timely and perfect as you. It was Wilson's fault he….."

"Shush!"

House focused his eyes on the stage. The auditorium had darkened, and the light was focused on a baby grand piano in the center of the stage. A small girl with curly hair sat perched on the stool, her feet barely reaching the floor. She reached out her small hands and started playing.

House grinned and elbowed Wilson. "What did I tell you, she chose Here Comes the Sun. I knew she'd make her Uncle Greg happy!"

Wilson begrudgingly handed him a five-dollar bill. "You were right."

"Am I ever not?"

He returned his focus to the little girl.

After the last little kid had finished playing, everyone was dismissed and Rachel ran over to her mom. Cuddy hugged her. "You did awesome honey!"

Rachel hugged her back. "Thanks mom!"

Then she made her way over to House.

"Was it good enough Uncle Greg?"

He looked down Rachel and smiled a real smile. "You did great Kid."

As the four walked out of the building, off to get some celebratory ice cream, House commented. "She takes after me, you know. Smart kid. I think my babysitting skills really played a big part."

Cuddy rolled her eyes. "Yea I'm sure that was it. The music lessons had nothing to do with any of it."

Wilson shuddered remembering their little 'adventure' six years ago. "Did you have to bring that up?"

Rachel's curiosity was aroused. She stopped hopping around and ran over to House. If Uncle James didn't want to remember it then it must be something good and naughty.

"What happened? What happened?"

House smiled and rubbed his cheek in a particular spot. "Well…….I had just gotten home from work when the phone rang…."
