Yes, I re-wrote it. I hope you'll still like it. The old plot had no plan and nowhere to go, but I have ideas for this. This is the prologue, so it's really short.

Artemis Fowl the Second was now a cured man, and to celebrate his recovery, his mother decided to send him back to school. Not only did he have to go back to school, which would have been bad enough, he was forced to have a roommate of which he had no prior knowledge.

In all reality, he was supposed to have no prior knowledge of his roommate; but, as one might guess, he had hacked into the Saint Bartleby's database and retrieved the name and a small note about him. He was left wondering what in the world Perseus Jackson had done to get kicked out of six schools in six years and why he was coming to Ireland from the United States.

When he got the offer, there really wasn't a way for Percy Jackson to refuse. Sure, he had had a good year at Goode, but he couldn't count on his luck to hold out. And he really, really didn't want to get Paul in trouble. So he took the offer from the now leading member of the legendary (and almost completely mortal, aside from a few children of Ares and such) family that had served both gods and mortals over hundreds of years.

He was going to a fancy private school in Ireland for absolutely no money. Instead of currency, the man had asked one thing: that Percy protect a danger-prone "juvenile genius" and keep him safe from harm. He should have known it wouldn't be as easy as it sounded.

Yeah, short, I know. Anyway, I'm sorry if you had your heart set on learning the plot of the first version. To tell you the truth, there was no plot. There were, however, some random funny scenes in my head that could still be worked in here, and if not I'll post them as intermissions with some middle chapters and at the end of the story.
