Slight slash at the end. Like...one sentence of it.

I haven't seen the movie yet, no spoilers. Promise. And please don't put any spoilers in the reviews!

Got the idea when I was flipping between X3 and Scrubs last week on TV.

Don't own em, don't own Hugh Jackman (but if I did....mmmm...lol), don't own X-Men/Wolverine.

Perry couldn't give you a reason why he hated Hugh Jackman. All he knew was that he did.

He couldn't give you a date as to when he started hating him…for all he knew, it could have been something ingrained in his mind since birth.

Maybe the hatred could possibly have something to do with how successful the man was. Perry slaved away in a hospital day after day with little recognition—and the fact that he hadn't killed any of the idiots he worked with deserved recognition—but this guy, Hugh Jackman—Jackass more like it—just had to say a few words and smile pretty for the camera and he was skyrocketed to fame. Tons of money, cars…meanwhile Perry is stuck with Newbie and his root beer tainted Porshe.

But maybe…maybe it was that Jordan fell in love with Hugh Jackman right around the time their marriage was beginning to fall apart. He was constantly battling against men for her attention on a daily basis, men who he constantly beat since he was, after all, a doctor. However, facing off against an actor? An actor Jordan didn't know, so she couldn't critique his flaws…unlike Perry, whose flaws were constantly out on display? No way in hell Perry could compete. And Jordan made sure he knew it.

Even Carla was captivated by the guy. And Laverne. And everyone else at the hospital. Maybe that's why he hated him—because everyone else liked him. Maybe there was a brief time where he did like Hugh Jackman, but then he went to the hospital and heard everyone talk about him, so Perry decided he had to hate him. Maybe it could boil down to one person liking Hugh Jackman to make Perry hate him…Kelso.

Wolverine had been his favorite of the X-men growing up. Perhaps he didn't think that Hugh Jackman was a good choice for the character. He was taller than Wolverine was supposed to be (thanks Newbie for the pointless information). He couldn't remember much about Wolverine, but maybe his subconscious did. Or maybe he just saw Wolverine as someone more like himself, which Hugh Jackman definitely wasn't.

Maybe—

"Perry!"

"Yeah Newbie?"

"I think you've been around me too long, slipping into day dreams like that…"

"Jane? Oh don't tell me that triggered one of your daydreams!"

"…What do you think would happen if we both got trapped in our daydreams? Who would save us?"

"Well, I won't be daydreaming anymore. C'mon Newbie, it's time to go in."

"Thanks again for coming with me. I know how much you hate Hugh Jackman…why do you hate him?"

"I don't know Newbie. I think it's just something about the way he is."

All Perry knew was that he hated the guy. But Newbie liked him…and Perry liked Newbie, so he'd deal with his enemy on screen.

"Promise you won't make any comments about Hugh Jackman during the movie, Perry?"

Well…he'd go see the movie with Newbie, but no one ever said anything about not making comments about Huge Jackass.

"We'll see, Newbie. Can't make any promises."

Let me know what you think
