KISSIN' KATE STRIKES AGAIN
A new outlaw has taken the top place on the ten most wanted lists with her red lipstick and her deadly character. Last night Kissin' Kate (Miss Katherine Barlow) committed another daring crime near Greenlake because of her lost love.
Stanley Yelnats was found near Greenlake after a robbery by Kissin' Kate. He was found with no food or water and he is now in a mental hospital recovering after his experience drove him crazy. No one knows how he survived because he was robbed of all his possessions, only to be left with the clothes on his back.
Kate wasn't always this way, she was once the only primary school teacher in Greenlake, all of the students admired her and in the evening she would have special classes for adults who didn't have an education. They were normally filled with young men who were more interested in the teacher than an education, but that's what they always got.
Also there was a man called Sam, a Negro, and he sold onions one day Kate was buying onions from Sam when she complained about the school roof leaking and he said he could fix it for her for six jars of spiced peaches, Kate's speciality. When he had finished the roof he then fixed the windows for two jars of peaches, then he fixed her desk and then the door. When Sam was finished the run down school house into something the whole town was proud of it, except Miss Kate because Sam didn't come to the school house anymore. A couple days later Sam came to sell his onions, Kate ran out of the schools house and hugged Mary Lou, Sam's horse, and then told Sam her heart was breaking, he said "I can fix that" and kissed her.
They didn't know, but they were spotted. News spread quickly, and the next day everyone in the village came and burnt the school building down. Kate ran to the sheriff's office and told him what they were doing to the school house. But he just asked her to kiss him, she slapped him instead. He then told her he was going to hang Sam because a black man can't kiss a white woman. She then went to find Sam and they drove away in his boat leaving Mary Lou behind, rowed as fast as they could, but they were no match for the Walker boat, it smashed into the side of the boat and Sam was shot and killed in the water. Miss Kate was rescued against her wishes.
Three days later, Miss Kate shot the sheriff, applied a new layer of red lipstick and gave him the kiss he had asked for.
Kissin' Kate is to be fear there is a $2000 reward for her capture and if you do see her report it to you r nearest sheriff.
