Insanity Or Reality?

Chapter 1

I screamed, cried, and yelled, anything to get me away, though none worked. All I could really do was stand their and watch in terror as my greatest fear headed slowly towards me. I screamed again, though I made no noise. I tried to turn and run, but it was like I was stuck in place, as if fear was binding me in place.

A gray, cloaked figure headed quickly but silently towards me, face covered in shadow. It's long, claw-like hands reached out to me as it mumbled silent threats.

I screamed again. A silent, almost non-existent scream for help.

-------

I bolted straight up, wrapped in a cold sweat and gasping for the cool, much needed oxygen. I was hot and sweaty, yet there was an icy cold feeling laid around my heart.

I lay back in bed for a while, though I wasn't tired any more. After a while I turned and checked my alarm clock. 6:45 AM. Well, if I get up now I won't be late for school like usual.

I turned my alarm off and tiptoed to the bathroom. I combed my auburn hair and brushed my teeth, as usual. I looked in the mirror and noticed the purplish-black bags underneath my eyes. I sighed and leaned my forehead on the cool glass. I got out the cover-up and started working on those bags. After 5 minutes they were pretty much gone.

I smiled at my work and headed downstairs. My father, Fujitaka, was already up and cooking breakfast. "Where's Touya?" I asked, though I was sure I knew the answer. "Right here, kaijuu," Touya said sleepily before sitting at the table and gulping down pancakes. "I'm going to skip breakfast so I can get to school early, okay dad?" I said. "That's fine," Fujitaka answered, whipping up some more pancakes for Touya to scarf down.

I headed out the door and skated off to school. What a weird dream… Ever since my 16th birthday, I've been having those horrible nightmares. I wonder why…

Flashback:

"Make a wish Sakura! But be careful, wishes always come true!" Sakura Kinomoto's best friend Tomoyo, said to Sakura, positioning her camera for a perfect picture.

"You've only told me that about five times now Tomoyo!" Sakura exclaimed, laughing. She took the advice, though she didn't really believe it. She took a deep breath.

My life is so boring. I wish I could go on an adventure.

Sakura blew out the candles. Everybody cheered and cut the cake. What a lame wish. Oh well. Wishes don't come true anyways, Sakura thought.

End Flashback

I arrived at school a few minutes early, luckily. I braced myself for what was going to be an extremely boring day.

Little did I know, that the particular wish I had made, was going to come true, and turn my life upside down.

Hearts on ice: Well, what do you think? Please R&R! Thanks! I'll try and get the next chapter up as soon as possible!
