A/N: so...another one shot for one of my favorite ships ( though it's really more centered on echo) here goes nothing! . A burning sensation went through her. Her, the identity known as Echo. Her existence was coming to an end. She knew this but was unsure if she could accept it. Noise had control now. She had had it since the day she wrestled it from her and killed Oscar Vessalius. Echo had only been able to watch fro the darkness as her body's true owner did as she pleased. She watched as Oz Vessalias looked at her with horror and betrayal written across his face. Oz. He had changed things. He had cared about her despite her being an echo of someone else. He had always smiled at her and been pleased to see her. Yet in that crucial moment when everything should have been right she had let her guard down. She slipped and Noise took over. In that one all important instant she had destroyed the happiness of the one person who truly cared. Now she was in a similar situation. Noise had truly lost her mind. She had gone rogue, harming anyone who threatened her or Vincent. Now, as Echo was fading slowly into nothing she saw the one person who meant so much to her in pain. If she disappeared now she would never feel the pain again. Never be lonely again. Never see the haunted look on Oz's face again. But if she gave up Noise would never stop. She would kill Oz and all the people he had risked his life for. If she fought could she save him? Her end would be more painful if she failed. Could she really rebell against the person who truly belonged in this world? Gathering all the strength she had left, Echo reached out. She grabbed a hold of Noise, trying to hold her back; to restrain her violence long enough for Oz to get away. The other girl growled and clawed at her before hurling verbal abuses her way. Despite her fading energy, Echo fought back. She clawed and tugged at the other trying to drag her into the darkness. This was her repayment; a thank you to Oz for believing in her. She would take noise into the abyss with her. In the realm of the tangible Zewei's form lie thrashing before the astonished blonde. Hatred and pain fought for dominance in her eyes. This struggle continued for a few moments and then the girl grew abruptly still. Oz moved closer to her motionless body, barely daring to breath. "Echo-chan...?" the gray eyes openened weakly and fixed on his emerald orbs. "Thank you...Oz-sama..." and then she was gone. That body never would move again. /A/N: what have I done?! I just killed one of my favorite characters! *sob* I didn't expect it to go that way...anywho, I hope you somehow liked it. Feedback would be lovely.
